TRAINING

Percussion:

Studied with Nancy Zeltsman, Richard Flanagan, Kenwood Dennard at Berklee.

Voice:

Studied with Michael Feinstein, Sylvia McNair, Janis Siegal, Jarrod Spector and many other vocal and musical theatre educators and performers at the American Songbook Academy.

Composing:

Studied with Allen LeVines, Larry Bell, and Apostolos Peraskevas at Berklee. Studied with Neal Farwell, John Pickard, Michael Ellison, and Peter Scott at the University of Bristol. Studied with Steven Taylor in a week-long program composing for an Eighth Blackbird Ensemble.

Producing:

Studied with Neal Farwell and Jonathan Scott at the University of Bristol. Studied with Peter Bufano and Sean McMahon at Berklee.

COMPOSING/PRODUCING
EXPERIENCE
  • Scored a radio program And Another Thing, produced by WGBH, Boston’s local NPR.

  • Scoring and arranging eleven songs for Be Peacen Production’s upcoming short film (2024).

  • Composed and arranged songs for The Dead Friends Club on their album Funeral Afterparty (2021).

  • Arranged and conducted Silent Night with Crepusculum Chamber Choir.

  • Commissioned to compose a string orchestra arrangement of Goin’ Home for West Suburban Symphony (Illinois).

  • Composed and conducted glacier melting, a six-minute piece for full orchestra with Bristol University’s Symphonia Symphony Orchestra.

CONDUCTING/DIRECTING EXPERIENCE

-Director of Crepusculum Chamber Choir (2019-2021), a professional choir based out of Berklee College of Music with which Dominic performed many interesting concerts, including a performance with The Tenors.

-Studied conducting privately with Julliard-trained Isaiah Jackson as well as Harvard/Peabody Conservatory-trained Valerie Taylor at Berklee.

-Conducted the Bristol University Symphonia Symphony Orchestra for their 25th season (2022-2023) where they conducted Beethoven’s 5th and Emily Mayers 7th along with works by Tchaikovsky, Libby Larsen, Vivian Fung, Frank Bridge, Augusta Holmes, Fredrick Delius and more including one of their own works, glacier melting (Bristol, UK, 2023). By minutes of music, half of the orchestra's 25 year anniversary season's program was music written by women; quite the feat for a low-budget university orchestra. 

-Conducted the United Resistance Choir for a fundraiser concert for Palestine (Los Angeles, 2024).

-Taught percussion lessons and multiple high school drumlines and percussion sections, including the Lincoln-Way Drumline, which was awarded the Best in State the year Dominic was employed (2019).

-Led the Turkey Drumline as Drum Captain along with four-hundred tap dancers through Chicago’s 2018 Thanksgiving Day Parade.

PERFORMING
EXPERIENCE

-Marched with WGI ensembles Pi Percussion (2017) and Cavaliers Indoor Percussion (2018).

-Performed Ivan Trevino’s Float Like a Butterfly in Berklee’s Marimba Showcase (2019) as well as Robert Oetomo’s Over the Rainbow (2019).

-Played drum set on The Dead Friends Club’s album Funeral Afterparty (2021).

-Studied with Michael Feinstein, Sylvia McNair, Janis Siegal, Jarrod Spector and many other vocal and musical theatre educators and performers at the American Songbook Academy.

-Played percussion in Berklee’s Film Scoring Orchestra, once under the direction of Harry Gregson-Williams.

-Played percussion in the Berklee Pop’s, the Cantinela Women’s Choir, Emerson’s production of Little Women among other performances in Boston.

-Sang with the esteemed Bristol University Singers as the tenor section leader. 

-Played timpani in UofB’s top orchestra.
